Radical French Thought And The Return Of The Jewish Question Studies In
In recent years, there has been a resurgence of anti-Semitism in France. This has been manifested in a number of ways, including physical attacks on Jews, the desecration of Jewish cemeteries, and the rise of anti-Semitic rhetoric in the media and on the internet.

This resurgence of anti-Semitism has been particularly troubling given France's long history of tolerance and equality. In the 18th century, France was one of the first countries to grant Jews full citizenship. And in the 19th century, France was home to a number of prominent Jewish intellectuals, including Léon Blum, Alfred Dreyfus, and Simone Veil.
So what has changed? Why has anti-Semitism returned to France? Some commentators have argued that the resurgence of anti-Semitism is a product of the country's growing Muslim population. Others have pointed to the rise of right-wing populism in France. And still others have argued that the resurgence of anti-Semitism is a product of the country's long history of radical thought.
In this book, I argue that the resurgence of anti-Semitism in France is a product of all of these factors. I show that the country's growing Muslim population has created a new reservoir of anti-Semitic sentiment. I also show that the rise of right-wing populism in France has provided a platform for anti-Semitic rhetoric. And I show that the country's long history of radical thought has created a climate in which anti-Semitism is more likely to be tolerated.
I begin by examining the historical roots of anti-Semitism in France. I show that anti-Semitism has been a part of French society for centuries. In the Middle Ages, Jews were often accused of being responsible for the Black Death. And in the 19th century, Jews were often blamed for the economic and social problems of the country.
I then examine the resurgence of anti-Semitism in France in recent years. I show that this resurgence has been driven by a number of factors, including the country's growing Muslim population, the rise of right-wing populism, and the country's long history of radical thought.
I conclude by arguing that the resurgence of anti-Semitism in France is a serious threat to the country's democratic values. I call on all French citizens to stand up against anti-Semitism and to work to build a more tolerant and inclusive society.
